last year I wrote post regarding a knitting-centric blog that I had found and admired. I mentioned that I felt as if I had found a soulmate of sorts on the internets. We seem to have shared common interests: knitting, design, japanese textiles, simplicity, minimalism and sometimes, the ability to gorge on purple prose. My serious writing can sometimes be given the gentle label of overwrought. My poetry however, is written in every shade of purple.
I read a lot of blogs. I will read a blog, if it captures my imagination, in its entirety. I have on many occasions read complete archives, some as long as 9 years worth. I find it more inspiring than reading novels because the lives are real. I especially enjoy finding that moment on a blog, where one post captures that "a-ha" moment and the life of the blogger is changed forever.
I've been blogging since 2002; not that you can tell. I've had about 5 different blogs. Even though, I've blogged consistently since then. I'm old hat. I've been around a long time. However, sometimes even I get fooled. I'll leave it at that and below, I'll link to the real slim shady; the person who I now know, deserves the credit for my excitement.
